Spring 2020- from the View of Covid 19

Verse 1

Sitting here looking out the window at the beautiful view, yet the view doesn’t matter, it does not talk to you.

The snow-capped mountains, the pathways through, look up! See the sun shining through.

The trees stand spread apart, tall, bare and alone, it has become now what we have known

The birds streak by across the sky, swoop and swirl towards their prey, the bears they soon will come out to play. The bees in search of flowers and fruit, the buzzing of the bee is music, natures lute.

What we know, this for sure, that as of now there is no cure

Verse 2

In our rooms we sit and stare, the walls, they grow too close, we Zoom in and out of boxes that glare.

We all sit and stare out of the window the streets are bare, brave is the few that dare

The wind blows, soft breezes flow, and nations flags fly, in the air, with less flare

Families blend and sing their parodies; in the evening we hear pots and pans drum to the beat of nothing in the air.

What we know, this for sure, that as of now there is no cure
